About Vice City
Vice City is the primary urban setting of Grand Theft Auto VI, a fictionalized version of Miami, Florida. It is situated within the broader state of Leonida and serves as the main hub for the game's story.
First revealed in the December 2023 Trailer 1, Vice City returns to the Grand Theft Auto series for the first time since 2002's GTA: Vice City. The modern incarnation is vastly larger and more detailed, featuring art deco architecture, neon-lit streets, palm-lined boulevards, and a vibrant beachfront culture reminiscent of real-world Miami.
The city appears to encompass multiple distinct districts visible in trailer footage, including a beachfront area resembling South Beach, a downtown financial district, and culturally diverse neighborhoods. The Everglades-style swamplands and rural areas surrounding the city are also part of the larger Leonida map.
